Thomas Price letter : 1803.

One letter from Thomas Price, of Hanover County, Virginia, to William Taylor, of Shelby County, Kentucky. Price sends his condolences on the death of Taylor's father, but the gist of the letter concerns the transfer of title, and possible claims against that title, of a piece of land at Floyd's Fork, Kentucky, owned by John Thornton.

Taylor, William Berry, 1768-1836

William Berry Taylor was a lawyer and land speculator who migrated from Botetourt County, Virginia, to Shelby County, Kentucky, in the late eighteenth century. After migrating, Taylor continued to practice law in Virginia as well as Kentucky. Taylor was part of the influential Taylor family that included Colonel Richard Taylor, the James Taylor's, and Zachary Taylor.
